The Story So Far...

Meaghan Jane Cleary is a New York–based writer, director, and costume designer whose work is rooted in character-driven storytelling and a deep love of cinema. A graduate of the School of Visual Arts, she was awarded Best Screenplay for her thesis script, Latchkey Kids, which is currently in pre-production with Alan Kim, Elsie Fisher, Idina Menzel, and Jae Suh Park attached to star.

Alongside developing her own projects, Meaghan has over a decade of experience in costume design and visual storytelling across feature films, television, and commercial productions. Her credits include Ami Canaan Mann's Audrey's Children, Investigation Discovery's Evil Lives Here, Joe Berlinger's Madoff: The Monster of Wall Street, among a broad range of film, television, and commercial productions.

As a director, Meaghan has directed television content for Investigation Discovery, created music videos and digital content for Steven Van Zandt's Wicked Cool Records, and directed the upcoming documentary Matt Pond PA: We Might Have It All. She continues to develop original narrative projects across film and digital media, exploring the intersection of humor, humanity, and cinematic storytelling.

Meaghan believes the stories we tell shape the way we understand ourselves, one another, and the world we inhabit. In an increasingly chaotic world, she strives to create films that offer perspective, spark conversation, and remind us of our shared humanity.
